The Armidale Cemetery Register 1862 - 2022 is now available. The register contains over 15,000 names, with information sourced from headstones, the Armidale Regional Council records (1900 to 1990s), Piddington’s Funeral Directors (1903 to 1956), Trove, BDM indexes and family historians. 

The  burial records are incomplete, especially those prior to 1910.  Unfortunately the early burial records before this no longer exist. For this period unless there is a headstone, there is no record of the plot where the person is buried. The only records that exist are newspaper articles, death certificates and church burial records which may give details of the section in which they are buried, but not the plot.

Additionally there are no official records for the first cemetery in Armidale, which operated until 1862, however the group is compiling a list of people likely to be buried in this original cemetery.
